Warm Coats and Warm Hearts Drive

Since 2007, the national retailer, Burlington Coat Factory, ABC’s morning program, Good Morning America , along with the non-profit organization, One Warm Coat, has come together for the Warm Coats and Warm Hearts Drive. They have provided over 700,000  coats to men, women and children who really needed them. The goal for this season’s drive is to reach 1,000,000 coats to be collected and distributed.

During the economic challenges that many people are currently facing, there is a greater need for the basics, a warm coat, being one of them. Your gently used coat could bring more than warmth to someone, it can bring a community closer together. Coats can be dropped off at a nearby Burlington Coat Factory store, and as a way to say thanks each donor will get a 10% discount off their entire store purchase (up to January 16th, 2012). Burlington Coat Factory also collects monetary donations in their stores, which they convert into new coats for children. Another way to donate a coat is through the One Warm Coat organization, visit their website for more details. “Through the continued philanthropic efforts of Burlington’s customers and partners, those in need are now able to enjoy the comfort of a warm coat.” [Burlington Coat Factory]

Good Morning America will continue to remind their viewers about the coat drive on their program, which began late October  2011 and will continue through mid January 2012.

Casually speaking and all the best,
