Some days frustration and disappoint seem to follow you, but yet a hug can help to turn your day around. We could all use a hug from time to time, and it doesn’t cost a thing, just a little of your time. You can hug another person, yourself, a pillow (maybe a stuffed animal) or a pet. The instructions are simple, lift up your arms; open wide and squeeze. Hugs are both rewarding to the recipient and the giver because it’s good for the heart.
June 29th is Hug Holiday Day. Really, it is. There’s even an organization that encourages people to give hugs, Hugs for Health Foundation website. A warm embrace can change someone’s mood in an instance and brighten up their day. Embrace the moment and try it for yourself.
