Have you ever felt unappreciated? Among your friends; at work or even in your own family? Your skills and talents haven’t been recognized…not for anything that you’ve done or said, it just happens sometimes. You enjoy doing what you do best, regardless of whether someone sees you doing it or not. You might be one of the finest cooks in your family, people look forward to eating the dishes that you make, and they go on and on about how delicious the food is. Then again, you might be a skilled crafts-person, who can take a few pieces of wood and make a great piece of furniture.
Instead of waiting for someone else to give you a little praise, you have every right to encourage yourself, not to be puffed up or boastful, but uplifted and strengthened. Build up yourself on the heel of your accomplishments, while looking back on the job you completed and the progress you’ve made. It’s a good feeling…why not bask in a job well done, instead of wallowing in the oversight of a few people. But every now and again, when you do get a compliment or receive positive reinforcement, you can take them as a bonus. Know that greatness lies within you and everyone is born with a special talent. Be thankful that everyone can’t do what you do, how you do it, with the same heart and enthusiasm and remember to go ahead and give yourself some credit.
Casually speaking and all the best,
